One thing that someone pointed out to me during a Bible study, that absolutely thrilled me, and scared me to death at the same time to think about.

"But our God is in the heavens;
He does whatever He pleases." -- Psalm 115:3

Think about it. I definitely considered it interesting.

That is an interesting thought. I'm it's somehow reassuring though. His ways and thoughts are far beyond my comprehension, and I think that's good. One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 12:1. The verbiage is quite exquisite.

"Interesting"--I would never have expected you to use that word. I'm thinking I might buy you a thesaurus for Christmas. :-)

I think you hit on a concept that can be scary or, as Chris said, comforting. The more you realize that "the Lord is good", the more it isn't scary.

But I do think that a lot of Christians would do well to listen to that message. Too often we read the Bible and think we have God pegged, know what he HAS to do. That's a joke. God makes the rules and He can break His rules--that's what miracles are. It's why Jesus' words in Matthew 7:21-23 are such an important warning. The question is not whether we have been a good "Christian", but whether we have done His will and He "knows" us.
